Alright, so I’ve been playing a fair bit of Renata Glasc lately. Cool champ, really enjoy her kit, especially that W, the Bailout. But the big question that kept bugging me was, who’s actually the best ADC to pair her with? You hear stuff online, see different combos, but I wanted to figure it out for myself, you know, through actual games.

My First Attempts
So, I jumped into games. My first thought was champs who love to dive or go all-in, thinking that Bailout would be huge for them. Naturally, I tried Samira first. Everyone talks about Samira/Renata, right? The idea is Samira dives, maybe dies, gets the Bailout revive, cleans up with resets. Sounds great on paper.
Practice Notes: Samira
- Sometimes it worked like a dream. Absolutely stomped lane when we got ahead.
- Other times… disaster. If Samira got bursted too fast, or we fell behind, the revive didn’t matter much. Felt very feast or famine.
- Coordination needed to be pretty spot on. Not always easy in solo queue.
Next, I figured, maybe champs who just pump out damage and love attack speed? Renata’s W gives a ton of that. So I queued up with Jinx.
Practice Notes: Jinx
- When Jinx got excited passive plus Renata W? Insane damage output. Felt really good in team fights.
- The problem was laning. Jinx is kinda vulnerable early, and Renata doesn’t offer the strongest peel compared to some others. We got camped a few times and it was rough.
- Her Q, the handshake thing, felt okay with Jinx’s traps, but nothing amazing.
Exploring Other Synergies
Okay, so maybe not just divers or pure hypercarries. What about utility ADCs? I tried Ashe next.

Practice Notes: Ashe
- This felt surprisingly decent. Ashe’s slows plus Renata’s Q setup was actually pretty nasty. We could lock people down hard.
- Her ult into Renata’s ult could start some crazy team fights.
- The Bailout was still useful, giving Ashe that extra survivability and attack speed boost she likes.
- Felt more consistent than Samira, less explosive than Jinx, but solid.
I also gave Kai’Sa a spin. Similar logic to Samira – dive potential – but maybe safer?
Practice Notes: Kai’Sa
- Felt pretty good too. Kai’Sa can use the W stats well and the Bailout lets her play aggressive with her R.
- Renata’s peel felt a bit better for Kai’Sa than Jinx, somehow. Maybe because Kai’Sa has her own escape tools.
- Solid, definitely a strong contender.
Digging Deeper – The Feel Factor
After playing with these and a few others (like Vayne, Kog’Maw – who really liked the W speed), I started focusing less on just the Bailout revive and more on the whole kit synergy and the feel of the lane.
Renata’s Q is great setup. Her E provides a decent shield and poke/slow. Her R is obviously game-changing in the right spot. The W is more than just a revive; it’s a massive steroid that ramps up.

I realized the ADCs who felt best were the ones who could reliably use the W attack speed before potentially dying, and who could follow up on Renata’s Q engages or disengages.
My Conclusion After Grinding Games
So, after all this messing around, who did I settle on as the ‘best’? For me, personally, based on my games?
It ended up being Kog’Maw, closely followed by Ashe.
Why Kog’Maw? Man, when you press W on Kog’Maw and Renata presses W on him too? It’s just absurd. He shreds everything. He stands still and melts people. Renata’s E shield helps keep him alive that little bit longer, her Q can peel for him, and if he does die, the Bailout gives him that crucial window to keep firing. It felt the most consistently powerful pairing when played correctly, turning Kog into a terrifying turret.
Ashe was the runner-up because the utility and setup felt so reliable. It wasn’t as flashy, but the combined crowd control made laning feel safe and effective, and we always brought something useful to team fights, even if behind.

Samira and Kai’Sa are good, don’t get me wrong, but they felt like they needed more specific conditions to pop off compared to the raw power boost Kog gets or the reliable utility Ashe brings. So yeah, that’s my take after trying things out myself. Kog’Maw just felt right with Renata most often for me.
