Okay, so today I decided to dive back into some classic wrestling, and what better way to do that than by revisiting Wrestlemania 12? I’ve got a real soft spot for this one, so I figured, why not spend the day immersed in it?

First things first, I needed to find a way to actually watch it. I don’t have any of those old VHS tapes anymore, so I knew I was gonna have to go the digital route.
- Dug around some old boxes in the garage. No luck.
After some searching, it’s time to enjoy!
The Matches
After securing the source.I settled in for a marathon of matches. Here’s how my day went, match by match:
-
The British Bulldog, Owen Hart, and Vader (with Jim Cornette) vs. Ahmed Johnson, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and Yokozuna (with Mr. Fuji): Started the day off with this six-man tag. I spent the opening minutes just trying to remember where I was in my life when this first aired! The match itself was solid, classic ’90s WWF * was great to see the guys who can still work in the ring.
-
“Hollywood Backlot Brawl”: “Rowdy” Roddy Piper vs. Goldust (with Marlena): Now, THIS was a trip. I totally forgot how bizarre this whole thing was.I followed them all the way to the ring.
-
Stone Cold Steve Austin (with Ted DiBiase) vs. Savio Vega:Ah, the early days of Stone Cold! . It’s crazy to see how different he was back then, but you could still see the sparks of the megastar he’d become.
-
The Ultimate Warrior vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley (with Sable): The Ultimate Warrior’s comeback!I cheered along like a kid again. It was short and sweet, pure Warrior energy.
-
The Undertaker (with Paul Bearer) vs. Diesel: This one was just brutal. These two guys just beat the crap out of each other.I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, wincing at every big move.
-
WWF Championship 60-minute Iron Man Match: Shawn Michaels (with Jose Lothario) vs. Bret “Hit Man” Hart: What can I say? It’s one of the greatest matches of all time.I took a short break and went to the bathroom, then get back to watch the match, and I was completely * drama, the athleticism, the storytelling… it’s all there. Watching Shawn finally win the big one still gives me goosebumps.
All in all, spending my day with Wrestlemania 12 was a blast. It brought back a ton of memories, and it reminded me why I fell in love with wrestling in the first place. Now, I’m kinda tempted to dig up Wrestlemania 13 and see what happened next…
