Alright, let’s talk about this weather for the 49ers game on Sunday, you know, the one with them Bills. I heard tell it’s gonna be a mess out there. A real mess.

Snow, Snow, Everywhere Snow
They sayin’ there’s already like, two feet of snow on the ground in that Orchard Park place. Two feet! That’s like, up to my knees, maybe even higher! Can you imagine tryin’ to play football in that? I bet them fellas gonna be slippin’ and slidin’ all over the place. It’s gonna be like watching a bunch of chickens on ice, I tell ya.
And it ain’t stoppin’ neither. They talkin’ ’bout more snow, heavy snow, comin’ down all weekend. Lake-effect snow, they call it. Sounds fancy, but all it means is it’s gonna be snowin’ buckets. Like, you can’t even see your hand in front of your face kind of snow.
- Snow up to your knees!
- More snow coming!
- Lake-effect snow, whatever that is. It just means lots of snow.
Will they even play the game?
Now, I heard some folks sayin’ they don’t think the snow will stop the game. Some big shots from Erie County, they say it’ll be alright. They say the snow’s gonna slow down by Sunday afternoon. Four o’clock, they sayin’. But four o’clock ain’t the game time, is it? The game’s at night! That’s what I heard, at least. That game is at night.

Makes you wonder if they really know what they’re talkin’ about. I mean, two feet of snow is two feet of snow, right? And they sayin’ more’s comin’. Seems to me it’d be hard to play football in that, no matter what time it stops snowin’. And more importantly, how are folks gonna get to the game? I sure wouldn’t want to be drivin’ around in all that mess. It sounds downright dangerous, if you ask me. They sayin’ it could be difficult, even dangerous, to get to the stadium. See? I ain’t the only one thinkin’ it.
Game Time and Where to Watch
Anyways, if they do play, the game’s on Sunday night. Supposed to be at 8:20 p.m. That’s late! Way past my bedtime. And it’s at that Highmark Stadium place in Orchard Park. I don’t even know where that is. Sounds far away. They sayin’ it’s gonna be on that NBC channel. You know, the one with the peacock. So, if you wanna watch them boys play in the snow, that’s where you gotta go lookin’.
My Two Cents
Personally, I think it’s crazy to play football in a blizzard. But what do I know? I’m just an old woman. I reckon those fellas get paid a lot of money to play, snow or no snow. Still, seems to me like they coulda picked a better day for it. Maybe a nice sunny day, you know? Or at least a day when it ain’t snowin’ up to your eyeballs. But hey, that’s just me. They didn’t ask me, did they? They never ask me nothin’.

I hope them fellas don’t get hurt out there in all that snow. And I hope folks be careful if they goin’ to the game. It sounds like it’s gonna be a real slippery mess out there. Stay home and watch it on TV, that’s what I’d do. But like I said, what do I know?
One last thing, be careful out there, ya hear? Whether you’re goin’ to the game or just goin’ to the store, take it slow and easy. That snow ain’t nothin’ to mess with.
