Alright, so you wanna know ’bout them Florida high school golf state championship results, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it’s a big deal for them young’uns. Them kids, they practice and practice, swingin’ them sticks all day long. It ain’t easy, I tell ya. Golf is hard work. Gotta have a good eye and a strong swing, and gotta keep yer head in the game, just like life, I reckon.

So, them championships, they got boys and girls playin’. Separate, ya know. Boys play with boys, girls with girls. That’s how it should be, I think. Keeps things fair and square. They got qualifiers, that’s like tryouts, to see who’s good enough to play in the big game. Only the best get to go to the state championship. It’s a real honor, like gettin’ the best cow at the county fair, only fancier.

Now, I don’t know all them fancy golf terms, but I know a winner when I see one. They got scores, ya know, how many times they hit the ball to get it in that little hole. The fewer hits, the better. It’s like plantin’ corn, fewer seeds you waste, the better the harvest. And these kids, some of ’em are real good. They can hit that ball a mile, straight as an arrow. Makes ya wonder how they do it. Must be all that practice.
I heard tell of a boy from Rhode Island, Joey somethin’-or-other, he played real good. Came in second place, tied with somebody else. That’s somethin’ to be proud of, even if he didn’t win the whole thing. Second place is still mighty fine. It means he’s one of the best in the whole state. And that Oxbridge Academy, over there by the Palm Beaches, they got some good golfers too, I hear. They train ’em up good, just like you train a good workhorse. Gotta be patient and teach ’em the right way.
This championship thing, it happens all over the state. Different schools, different towns. I seen some of them golf courses, they’re pretty as a picture. Green grass, all smooth and neat. Not like my ol’ pasture, full of weeds and rocks. But that’s alright, my cows don’t care ’bout fancy grass. They just wanna eat. And them golfers, they just wanna win.
They got this place, Gainesville, up north a ways. Got a big ol’ boulevard there, 80th somethin’-or-other. I think that’s where some of them golf things happen. Big schools, big events. It’s all a bit much for an ol’ gal like me, but I appreciate the hard work them kids put in. It ain’t easy bein’ the best at somethin’, no matter what it is. Gotta have dedication and grit, just like farmin’. You gotta get up early and work hard, even when you don’t feel like it. And sometimes, you still don’t win. But you gotta keep tryin’, that’s the important thing.

So, if you wanna see them scores, you gotta look it up online. I don’t have no computer, just this ol’ phone. But they got websites and such, you can find all the information you need. Just search for “high school golf state championships” and your state, like Florida. It’ll all be there, the winners, the scores, the whole shebang. It’s a big deal for them kids and their families. They work hard all year for this, and it’s somethin’ to celebrate.
And that’s all I got to say ’bout that. Golf ain’t my thing, but I appreciate a good competition. And them kids, they put on a good show, I bet. So good luck to ’em all, and may the best golfer win. It’s all about hard work and dedication, just like in life.
